I asked this question in the past, but lost the info, where can I find schematics for this model.? Also, my problem is, I was brushhogging and hit a big log, realized it and immediately pushed in clutch and disengaged the pto. I feared something might have happened so I pulled away from the log and reengaged the pto in the grass again and it would not turn. I took off brush hog and with no load the pto would turn. I sought help from a John Deere dealer and he said he thought it was the clutch pack and it would cost $4,000 to fix it. A friend of mine who works on tractors thought it might just be the splined shaft itself. When I listen and have the pto engaged I can hear something turning, and I can engage pto without the clutch but it sounds like its just trying to grab it.
Would be very much appreciated. Thanks, I got them downloaded. Has anybody ever had this happen to their tractor though? This dealer's got me a little nervous and I'm skeptical of his intent and wondering if it isn't as bad as he would like it to be.

Any thoughts?Actually your dealer may be doing you a favor by quoting you the worst-case scenario.then by starting the repair, getting in there and THEN telling you THE BAD NEWS. Hopefully, It may turn out to be a cheaper fix, but at least you know the HIGH END of the bill and can make your choices accordingly.
